The vast majority of these individuals are of working age, and the key to helping them—and all employees—thrive is an inclusive, supportive workplace. To improve employee well-being, companies need to be intentional about how to approach mental health in the workplace beyond basic benefits and compliance.
The “4 As” framework is a key part of the Mental Health Toolkit, a resource for employers developed by the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN).
